La Manufacture is committed to offering custom-made rugs and tapestries to designers from all over the world.
Whether it is produced from our designer collection, or a unique creation developed with the help of our design office, each project is entirely custom-made in our workshops for architects, decorators, designers and artists.

Our story

Manufacture de Tapis de Bourgogne was founded in 1958.

The factory rapidly established itself among interior designers and decorators as the most prestigious manufacturer of contemporary custom rugs and carpets hand made in France.

The development and brand awareness of the company and its product has been greatly enhanced by its continuing successful participation in the most high-end and complex interior design projects for residential, hotels and restaurants, private aircrafts and yachting.

The “Manufacture de Tapis de Bourgogne” label, lovingly sewn to the back of each rug, guarantees that this entirely hand-made product has not only been made with the greatest of skill and care by passionate and dedicated craftsmen, but that it also 100% made in France in our workshop.

HAND TUFTED CARPETS

The company has amassed expertise in the fabrication of hand tufted carpets allowing you to create individual classic or contemporary designs in all shapes, materials and colors.
Our skilled craftsmen will undertake any specific request such as complex drawings, technical finishes such as shaving, carving and depilation and will realize rug sizes of over 50m2 in one piece.
Our designers also have at their disposal an extraordinary stock of yarns: over 3000 colors of wool, silk, raffia, sisal, bamboo and linen, available for trials or immediate realization.

HAND WOVEN CARPETS

The looms of the Manufacturer provide the possibility of producing both velvet and flat weaves in diverse materials at the same time.
Our workshops are equipped with looms of 1 to 5 meters and thus enable the production of oversize broadloom carpets without seams.
In addition to producing traditional weaves, our expert team will accompany the designer in the search of new weave constructions and materials.
