TASSINARI & CHATEL combines, innovative technology and traditional knowledge in its weaves.

The now thoroughly modern TASSINARI & CHATEL mill is based in Panissieres in the Loire, founded as a company at the end of the 17th century it retains a studio for the hand looms in the Croix Rousse quarter the home of the original Lyon silk weavers. Since 1997, it belongs to the family owned fabric house LELIEVRE.

The mill has a rare and vast archive gathering more than 15.000 patterns, a design service with all the latest computer software, a studio capable of analysing the most complex fabrics as well as a large workshop marked out by its exceptional diversity of machinery staffed by highly qualified personnel.

A subtle juxtaposition of tradition and modernity, strictness and audacity, innovation and respect assures the continuing success and international renown of TASSINARI & CHATEL.

Royal Courts, Museums, stately homes and some of the greatest decorators in the world favour TASSINARI & CHATEL for it’s great experience in weaving silk.
